ADVENT
With thankful heart to our heavenly Daddy I pray for you who read, may you have great endurance to read till the end and may you be tolerant with what is written.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth….
May all God’s blessings be upon you. May His Holy Spirit talk to your spirit within you through all the wisdom and understanding. May your heart be encouraged and united in love to each other. May no – one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:8; Ephesians 5:6.
Honestly, I can not find in the Bible teaching about Advent or Christmas celebration. In the Bible there is no one reference to such events. These events come into being from the fourth to the fifth centuries and were set up as traditions in the church. But that is another story.
Reading NT we see that we do not have anymore to set any time to wait for Christ’s birth because it already has happened and we as God’s beloved, holy and accepted in His royal family children, this event celebrate each single day. At least we should.
Even more! The death of Jesus gave us absolute peace with Almighty God through His blood shed on cross. 1 Peter 2:9.
Here we could speak about the Temple of Jerusalem ascribed in the book of Exodus. Temple, where even Moses could not go in because of God’s glorious presence.
About the Solomon’s Temple which is described in 1 Kings 8. How it was built, equipped and furnished! There were so many sacrifices made…. The Ark of God they brought in…
And the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God….
Now we are that Temple of God! Now we are allowed enter His Holy of Holies place! Now we can go to the God’s throne of grace with boldness and confidence in our time of need without any intermediaries, as it was needed back than. Without any mediator or sacrifices (except the praise of our lips) or anything else what was demanded back than, before the Son of God, God Himself who is holding this our world in His palm, came down and sacrificed Himself for us. 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19.
God Himself, who is watching may all cosmos, whole world with all what is in it do not turn to the left or right, but may all work in perfect order, come down to the earth and put in order, straightened out the relationship between Him and us. Without any of our participation or any so called ‘good works’ added from our side.
Short and simple: - Each day we should remain to ourselves that Jesus was delivered over to death for our sins (for anything we have had done bad and will do in future; for things we mess up, transgress, disobey…) and than raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:25.
Jesus conquered sin and death on our behalf.
I have been thinking for a long time on the issue called ‘Advent.’ Also, about what the Creator of all wants from us, Christians, on Advent time and also on Christmas.
Beloved ones, not only on this time but all the time, the Almighty God, Elohim your Creator, wants may whole world be filled with His glory through people who He has rescued from death, hell, Satan and the curse of the Law.
God, loving His people with absolute love, as only God can love, God wants His people being humble in their hearts, relying on Him alone, receiving all His Divine wisdom, to bring true righteousness and peace and justice into the dark world around them. May His rescued, dearly loved people help the poor and are generous in mercy to those in any need, to the oppress, to the poor etc... May His people imitate Him. In order to imitate God we have to know Jesus as He is. Without any imaginary or something else added to that who He is.
He gave hope to the lost, the worst of all, He comforted, He helped, He healed….
All these good works you can do. You to whom God has given His Holy Spirit with countless good gifts. You, in whose heart Jesus dwells through faith.
Above all, we daily praise Him with the shouts of joy and sing from psalms.
Paul wrote: ““Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Philippians 4:4.
We should praise Him and thank Him no matter what the circumstances are. For that is the will of God. As Job said: “God gave, God took.”
Dear friends, world is full with people who live in darkness and do not see even the smallest ray of light coming out of that darkness in which they find themselves in.
Therefore, God’s beloved, to whom all transgressions are forgiven, who are comforted and encouraged by God Himself, - go into the world and give a kind word, a kind glance or a smile. It will be a lot already.
We never know, what people God is sending in our way. Maybe someone is already on the edge of breaking down. Kind word can melt the ice and refresh the soul.
May God Himself show us how we can be of help to the hurting world around us. May He use us mightily for our, for others good and His glory.
May God talk to our inmost being, to our spirit so that we have the courage to see and openly profess to others love, kindness, gentleness and goodness. May God provide us with anything to be a blessing for others.
Another thing is that if Christ is in you, than you are a child of God. And as a child of God you can overcome absolutely all things no matter how big or hard they are. You have been given all the power and authority over anything what is troubling you. In Jesus Christ you already have all you need.
And so in this time called Advent and always, be a comforter, helper, joy and light to others!
Jesus said: “you are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15.
In regard to the Christ’s second coming lets pray and say Amen, come Lord, come! Revelation 22:20.
May the grace of God, peace, love un all His blessings be upon you, your loved ones, your home and everything you have. In the precious Jesus name and so be it. Amen and amen.
God bless you.
