The Right Path.
Life is such a thing that wherever we go, whatever turn we take, we must make a choice. On an ongoing basis we must choose what to do and how to do. And it is not a secret that very often we do choose to go the wrong path witch later bring regrets and sufferings. So often we wish to go back and do things differently but alas, that is not possible. Some more and some less but all people on this fallen world are suffering and seeking for manual to whom to follow in order to live in peace.
World is overloaded with different teachings which keep people in deep error, and religious doctrines often are the ones which have twisted and polluted the Name of God so that many of us even do not want to hear it. And though many of us attend the church and pray to different things, nonetheless life still are empty, without joy, hope, peace and love.
But Jesus is saying: " Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matthew 7:13).
Here apart from any religion, God through His Word teaches us how to act, to whom or what to believe, how to behave towards others, how to develop relationships and many other good things, which if observed, always bring not the bitterness, regrets and pains but peace and satisfaction. Actually we have only two ways/ path to follow - right or wrong. The right one is very narrow and small, but will lead to good life here on earth and eventually to the heaven; the other is very broad and will lead to all kind of suffering without really knowing about eternal destination. For that reason, to have life here on earth and full assurance about your final destination, God your Father invites you to enter through that narrow door, to walk on that narrow path who is He Himself - the Author of Life. He is the beginning of everything, but as long as we believe in different this world's and/ or religious teachings, we will stay on that broad road which leads only to destruction. Not many of us know that there is a God who offers the right path apart from religion. For far too many of us are bound to religious traditions and rules even realizing not that God is calling - "come out of them, be free, have life in Me, have freedom and peace because I forgave you and accepted you. Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest. Worship Me only and I will bless you!"
Do not say that you are worshiping nothing and nobody. All people do worship something even without realizing it.
Far too many of us are living in illusions and superstitions. But here again, the LORD, the only one and true God who created the heaven and the earth says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16). Are we looking for the right and good path?
God said: "people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." Lack of knowledge is like a plague which destroys not only some people but even whole nations. People and nations are perishing just because of luck of knowledge which comes from the only One who is able to give life to the full, the peace and joy and other good things. People trust in religion, rely on mere human's produced wisdom and understanding which is nothing at all. People seek and find not because they seek in wrong places.
But again "this is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it" (Isaiah 30:15).
How many people on this world are living sorrowful lives just because do not know the one and true God?
So, Jesus continued and clearly daid that: "small is the gate and narrow the road (or door) that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:14). This Words of Him refers to this life, not the after life. He is the only Path or Doors which leads to life and only few find it. Religion itself is on the broad way, but do we see it?
How many of us are following that only one small path? All who live in anxiety, are overwhelmed by stress and bowed down by depression have rights to know that Jesus Christ, who sacrificed Himself for us all come and "preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near" (Ephesians 2:17).
All people have right to know the truth and to break the cocoon in which they have been for so long because of family's convictions and/ or religious teachings.
The truth is that which Jesus said:
"I am the Gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).
I am the Resurrection and the lLfe. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25),
"I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6).
Jesus offers life to the full here on earth and life for eternity. If any of you are bound by those countless religous teachings, than know that
"the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17).
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:1-3).
The Word became Flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).
And now "In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence" (Ephesians 3:12). The "right path" is Jesus only and His teaching so that we following this "narrow path" of His teaching may have life abundantly here, while we are on earth.
"Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:19-24).
In order to set your foot on the blessed narrow path, seek the Truth which will set you free and you will sing a new song. Seek the Truth, the Way and the Life! Find it and enjoy your comunion with Him for now and for eternity!
