WHAT TO FOLLOF - THE RULES OF MEN MADE RELIGION OR TO FOLLOW GOD?

Is it good to follow the rules of men made religion by not forsaking God’s commands? Is it necessary to observe things which God has not even mentioned in His Word, and still be honouring Him?

I think, you should think yourself and by examining the Scripture find out what says God and what religion offers. For this reasen I put different Bible verses in order, you can read them for yourself and by prayer and petition to God, ask may He Himself open and make clear everything what you have to know and everything what God wants you to know and to have.

God gives freedom. Religion sets many rules and bounds people with unbearable yokes so that yes, some even suffer because of that. Some are held in fear of God’s punishment, some just leave ‘all that religious stuff’. Some in their life have experienced or seen things, which are dishonouring God and so they till now are not willing to hear about Him anything.

Yes, even though, some religious services are close to God and offer some truth, but often they fail too.

Often they operate quite the opposite to the Word of God.

But God gives freedom, knowledge, understanding and peace if we go to Him with an open, willing heart to receive that, what God our Father is offering to us through Jesus Christ. God gives His Spirit so that we are enabled to understand His Word, perceive His thoughts and know His will. God is love, light, peace, joy….

But that we can have if we accept in our hearts Jesus as our Lord by putting aside absolutely all things which are not from God.

Jesus clearly explained that He is the (ONLY) Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. 1 John 14:6.

Another important thing is that the Law (plus all those other men made rules and rites) by which religion keeps people in slavery and darkness, was given through Moses, and was active till the cross; yet Grace and TRUTH came through Jesus Christ. NOW knowing the grace of God we are set free by the Truth which is in Christ.

The Law was given so that we could fully understand that without Redeemer, who is Jesus Christ, we as fallen human beings, are not able to keep them what so ever. No matter how hard we try, we will be hopeless sinners always. Steeped in sins, under the curse of those Commandments and slaves to not only Satan, but many, many, many other things.

About religion Jesus warned us 2000 years ago:

“3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacterieswide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honour at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.

8 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah”

(Matthew 23).

You see, in Christ we all are equally brothers and sisters. We are not to keep any person in higher esteem than he or she is. We must humbly serve each other. We are commanded love each other; and even more love the unlovable and love all those who are out of God’ s family by preaching them Good News.

You have to know also that

…Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 3:13-14.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2.

And for that reason“… the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.…” Romans 14:17.

“…For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Christ Jesus the Son of God) the many will be made (those who believe in Him) righteous.” (Romans 5:10).

So, if you have the SON you have been set free, made righteous, holy and blameless in the eyes of God your heavenly, lovingly Father.

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:18.

And ! “…because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:4-10.

“From one man He created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and He determined their boundaries.

God intended that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”

Acts 17:26-27.

“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the Truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.”

1 Peter 1:22.

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Galatians 6:10.

“If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations— "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"?
Colossians 2:20-21.

For “whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” John 8:47.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all - how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died - more than that, who was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.”

Romans 8:32-34.

“… to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn - not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.”

John 1:12-13.

“…He saved us not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”

Titus 3:5.

“For He himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in Himself one new people from the two groups….”

Ephesians 2:14-15.

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:24.

So, “Never stop praying; pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:17.

When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the holy people of God – respectively all of you who come together in meeting to praise God and encourage each other; to help to each other…. As God commanded. 1 Corinthians 14:26.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. If you are in trouble, pray. Seek righteous person with whom to pray and your Father will give you the desires of your heart. And again I say, be thankful.

“Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life.“ (Psalm 143:7-8).

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23:5-6.

“Let Your face shine on your servant; save me in Your unfailing love. Let me not be put to shame, LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead. Psalm 31:16-17.

“When the Lord saw her, His heart went out to her and He said, "Don't cry." Luke 7:13.

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then He will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine” (Proverbs 3:7-10).

“The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.” (Isaiah 50:4).

“…Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand….” (Daniel 12:10).
