God The Father.
"Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us?" (Malachi 2:10).
“Yet you, LORD (YHWH), are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand” (Isaiah 64:8).
“Yet for us there is but one God(Creator), the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Master Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live" (1 Corinthians).
“And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven” (Matthew 23:9).
First and above all, God the Creator of heaven and earth is our heavenly Father, He is our Creator and except our earthly fathers it is forbidden to call in this name any other person (Isaiah 44:24; Psalm 139:13; Job 10:11; Galatians 1:15).
If we call others in this holy name than we blasphemy against Him, we sin against the God our Father. The teaching of Christ, who is our only authority, is that nobody of us can take upon themselves honour which belongs only to the Father. Christ did instruct all of us to be the same as He was – humble, full with grace and truth (John 1:14; John 8:32; John 1:17) and every His word He said was in accordance with His Father's Word and for His Father's glory.
God is the loving Father (John 1:12; 1 John 3:1; Romans 8:14,16) and He created us with love (Genesis 1:27). He made us to love Him and to be loved, (Psalm 139:13,119:73) and He alone is to be praised, He alone is praiseworthy. He, as loving Father, longs to be gracious to all of us. He loves us, and in the same way as our earthly fathers do, also our heavenly Father wants that everything is going well with us and may we obey Him with reverent fear and thankful heart. Our heavenly Father wants to protect and nurse us as loving mother and His heart so often, too much often is broken in peaces as He cries out to us and we do not respond. It is our hearts are so callous we hear it not. But when we hear we acknowledge not, so far we are from Him.
Our first parents (Adam and Eve) were created as perfect, intelligent, smart, full of His divine wisdom; and they lived in the Eden, in place where God put them after He created them. Absolutely all things were provided for them and they lived in total safety surrounded by the love of Him, their Father. He Himself walked with them in the cool (Genesis 3:8) of the day and talked with them as our earthly fathers talk to us. He answered on their questions and watched over them with His loving eye. They were kept as the apple of His own eye. He allowed them all the pleasures except one thing - eat not from only one tree in whole garden. And living in absolutely full provision, in unimaginable abundance, Adam promised Him not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17).
Alas, in the curse of time they did choose to disobey their Father and by denying all His goodness they did listen in Satan's sweet lies. After their rebellion (sin) against the who gave them life, their hearts grew full with arrogance and instead of asking for forgiveness they rebelled even more. They blamed each other, and their Creator, the Father. Their spirit died in that very moment and they did loss all their privileges, and their Father in His holiness and righteousness banished (they wanted go not away) them out of Eden (Genesis 3:23). By rebelling against Him they did bring unconquerable barrier between them (us) and Father. By listening in Satan's lies they opened door to him; they permit him come into this world and bring death, suffering and pain. Instantly, in a wink of eye, whole world which were created in love and was perfectly good (Genesis 1:31) they handled over to Satan and his angels where it is till now (Matthew 4:8-9). Our heavenly Father's heart was broken into peaces.
However, the Lord God in His infinite love immediately made plan (Genesis 3:15) how to rescue His dear children from the Satan's trap; for all of us, from that time on are slaves to him. Our spirit is dead because of sin; we are separated from our only Father who is Spirit and now there is only suffering and death. But our Father in His mercy to us showed the greatest act of love. When time was fulfilled He sent His Son to die on a cross for all those who by believing in Him receive the most precious and valuable gift of eternal life, and by so are reconciled again to the loving heavenly Father (John 3:16) through rebirth (John 3:6; John 1:13; 1 Peter 1:23; James 1:18).
Without His own provided way back to Him - Jesus Messiah, we stand condemned for eternity already. But through His Son (John 14:6) our spirit can be made alive and door to our Father can be opened. Only God the Father can forgive our sin; only through Christ we can receive this forgiveness and restore our broken relationship with Him. Christ Jesus is ours the only hope and the only salvation, the only way to escape from the penalty of sin. Christ is ours the only way to our heavenly Father (John 14:6,1:17; John 8:32; John 5:40,10:10). At the moment we receive His Son in our hearts He immediately forgives us, declares us righteous and makes us sit down in the heavenly places in Christ. And again we, in the same way as our first parents, are restored and in good relationship with Him. (Ephesians 1:3; 2 Corinthians 1:3). Again we are His legitimate children.
" See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" (1 John 3:1).
Now freed from the Satan's fetters, justified, made free from the bondage of sin and declared righteous and holy through His Son our Saviour Jesus Christ we again can boldly approach our heavenly Father with peace in our hearts and with confidence that He will hear (1 John 5:14; Psalm 145:19) us and will be with us in any time of need day and night (Hebrews 4:16). He will protect us, will teach us, will guide in all the truth may at the end we blameless and holy will be with Him forever (Psalm 48:14; Ephesians 3:12).
There is nothing in this world what can be more precious and valuable as our relationship with our real Father. In Him alone our souls find rest and only He alone can give fulfilment in life. Only in Him we can find refuge, shelter, safety and love. Even if whole world perish, there is no fear in love which our Creator, our Father has poured out on us by His Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Only by His grace and favour which rest already on those who believe in Him we can have peace in this world.
God is our Father and even there is more than enough evidence for that, nonetheless all of us have gone the way of destructiveness and lies. All of us have denied the only one whom we ought to love; the only one in whom we must trust and on whom we must relay in the times of need. All of us have spit in the eyes of holy God the Father and paid back with hurting Him (Malachi 1:6). But our heavenly Father is forgiving, gracious and full with grace. He knows that our hearts are full with evil. He knows that our thoughts are futile and hearts stubborn. He knows also that all of us sooner or later will come to the threshold of truth. Life is short but eternity is long and God our Father understands it entirely. For that very reason He wants no body to perish but everyone come to Him. He wants all people return to Him where is safety and life (1 Timothy 2:4). Almighty God is our Father and we have not only walk but fly to Him in repentance and sorrowful heart. Our heavenly Father is patient with us and He is faithful and trustworthy, and He is waiting for us to return to Him (2 Peter 3:9).
